French taxis are regulated nationally and use a four-tariff system (A, B, C, D) based on time of day, day of week, and distance. In Paris, Tariff A applies within the city limits during the day (Monday–Saturday 10:00–17:00) at €1.12/km, while Tariff B covers evenings, weekends, and inner suburbs at €1.50/km. The base charge (prise en charge) is €2.65 and a booking fee of €4.00 applies when ordered by phone or app. Since 2016, fixed fares apply for journeys between central Paris and both CDG (€55 Right Bank / €50 Left Bank) and Orly (€35 Left Bank / €30 Right Bank) airports. A supplement of €1.00 per additional passenger and €1.00 per large bag is standard.
